Too Small To Fail

“Too Small to Fail” is an initiative of the Clinton Foundation, in conjunction with the Barbara Bush Foundation, focused on early childhood development, particularly promoting language and literacy skills in young children. It aims to empower parents and caregivers with tools and resources to support their children’s development from birth, recognizing that the first three years are crucial for language acquisition.

The core focus of the initiative is encouraging parents and caregivers to talk, read, and sing with your children, as these simple interactions can significantly impact a child’s vocabulary development and overall readiness for school.

United Way of Venango and Titusville Region was one of six United Ways in Pennsylvania to receive funding. Upon receiving this award, United Way partnered with The Benson Memorial Library to provide free monthly books to Titusville Area children under the age of five. These books are available to pick up at the Library until June of 2026.

Key Aspects Include:

  • Raising Awareness – Highlighting the importance of early brain and language development
  • Empowering Parents – Providing resources and tools to support parents and caregivers with their children
  • Creating Learning Opportunities – Transforming everyday spaces into places where children can learn and grow
