Venango/Clarion, PA – United Way is proud to announce the launch of the Center for Community Innovation, made possible through a three-year grant from The McElhattan Foundation. This new initiative is designed to strengthen local non-profits through resource development, capacity building, and strategic planning, helping to build a stronger community for everyone.
The Center will be staffed with a Director, two grant writers for the Venango and Clarion area, and a non-profit Marketing Strategist. Together, they will work alongside local agencies to expand funding opportunities, improve operations, and enhance outreach.
Non-profits in Venango and Clarion Counties will receive specialized guidance in identifying grant opportunities that align with their mission. Services include one-on-one consultations, application support, grant management assistance (including financial tracking and reporting), and strategies to strengthen data collection for improved measurable outcomes.
The Center will offer workshops and training opportunities on topics such as strategic planning, succession planning, and program development. The Marketing Strategist, working with ten non-profits, provides discounted marketing services to broaden their outreach and enhance their marketing plans and content creation.
Two informational sessions will be held to introduce the Center’s services to non-profit organizations:
